Tamannaah Bhatia backs Vedaa co-star John Abraham post his argument with a journalist, says, “This time he’s telling a different kind of story”

John Abraham stirred social media during the trailer launch of his latest film, Vedaa, on August 1, 2024, by sharply responding to a journalist’s critique. The journalist questioned John’s repeated ventures into action films, suggesting he bring something new. This provoked John, who advised the journalist to watch the film before criticizing, asking, “Can I call out bad questions and idiots?” Supporting John, his co-star Tamannaah Bhatia tweeted a heartfelt message, praising the actor and the Vedaa team.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Tamannaah wrote, “Don’t judge Vedaa by its cover.” She emphasised that the movie is more than just an action film and that John, “one of the nation’s favorite action heroes,” is using his influence to masterfully explore the action genre.

Tamannaah elaborated that John is presenting a different kind of story through action, demonstrating the genre’s potential to convey meaningful cinematic experiences. She lauded director Nikkhil Advani and actress Sharvari Wagh, expressing excitement for Advani’s return to directing after six or seven years, which she believes adds anticipation to the film. “I can’t miss on mentioning #Sharvari here and how I just can’t wait for y’all to see her kill it on the big screen yet again!” she added.Reflecting on her modest role in the film, Tamannaah expressed genuine excitement for its release and her collaboration with John, Nikkhil Advani, Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, and the entire Vedaa crew. She concluded by stating that the film offers a fresh perspective on action films in India, and she believes audiences will enjoy it on the big screen.

Vedaa is set to release in cinemas on August 15, alongside two other major films, Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein.
