Tannishtha Chatterjee is one of those Indian actresses who have been a part of various global films, but the actress recently stated that she has never faced racism.
She said, “I think we as artists are privileged because we always interact with people who are far more evolved, so to be honest I have never faced racism.”
“I have worked with so many different cultures. For instance I have worked with Australian director, American directors. I only meet people who are trying to understand my point of view… fortunately I have never faced (racism). So I think as artist that’s how it should be and I am privileged to be in that community,” the actress added.
Tannishtha Chatterjee is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘UNIndian’ in which she will be seen opposite Brett Lee.
Talking about her character in the movie, Tannishtha said, “It’s a very progressive character. Meera is a single mother she does not think she has to have a man to complete her life. She is a responsible mother, good daughter but she is also an individual. The Indian women audience will connect to this film.”
