The Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy has been taking new turns and twists every day. Where many Bollywood stalwarts like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, and many more have backed Tanushree, a few celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan have refrained from commenting on the issue. This has hurt Tanushree and she has slammed Mr Bachchan.
At the trailer launch of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, Big B was asked about his reaction on the ongoing Nana Patekar fiasco. To this, the actor said that that he is neither Tanushree nor Nana and hence, he can’t give an answer to the question asked. When Hindustan Times asked Tanushree about this answer of Mr Bachchan, the actress said, “I’m hurt, as these are people who do movies on social causes.” Talking further about how these movies win the hearts of the audience, the actress shared, “But when it comes to standing up and doing something about what is happening in front of you, there are these evasive statements that don’t make sense.”

Tanushree also slammed those who called this as a publicity stunt. She said, “They are saying Bollywood comeback, Bigg Boss… so what? I am not disparaging those inside the Bigg Boss house, but do people really think for somebody who walked on the Miss Universe stage and went ahead to do 16-18 Bollywood films, my aspirations in life would be so limited?”
Coming back to Big B’s reaction to the controversy, what do you think? Was it justified for Mr. Bachchan (who has done a movie like ‘Pink’) to react in such a way?
