Team ‘Aiyaary’ pays tribute to soldiers on Kargil Vijay Divas

Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee will be sharing the screen space for the first time in Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’. In the movie, Sidharth will be seen in the garb of an army officer for the first time. The shooting has already kickstarted in London. Meanwhile, the team of the movie recently paid a tribute to real life army soldiers on Kargil Vijay Divas which is marked as the day for success of Operation Vijay by the Indian Forces during the Kargil War.

The makers of the film shared a still from the movie which has Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee facing each other, dressed as army men. Sharing the picture, they captioned, “Men at the Borders are the real heroes. Respect! @S1dharthM @BajpayeeManoj #Aiyaary salutes their valor #KargilVijayDiwas #IndianArmedForces.” [sic]

In the picture, we see Sidharth’s character looking at Manoj with respect while he looks at him with a stern expression on his face. The movie is set against the backdrop of Indian Army and it shows a mentor and protege relationship between Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra. The two have been bonding really well on the sets of the movie. They are shooting at real locations with real soldiers. From the newly released still, we can guess that it will give us a close look into the life of Indian Armed Forces and its operations. The director has brought onboard a really powerpacked star cast for the movie. The movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah who will be essaying the role of a whistle-blower in the movie. The movie is a real-life story which is based on ultimate trickery. Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Plan C Studios, ‘Aiyaary’ is a Friday Filmworks Productions and is produced by Shital Bhatia. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie is scheduled to release on January 26, 2018.
