Sabbir Khan’s superhit action flick ‘Baaghi‘ which took the box office by a storm, is all set to have a sequel. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the news adding that it would go on floors in the year 2017.
While earlier reports suggested that Shraddha Kapoor would not be roped in for the sequel, we have now learnt that the entire team remains unchanged. Shraddha alongside Tiger Shroff will be playing the lead in the sequel too. However, it will not carry the story of ‘Baaghi’ forward but will be a new story altogether.
While talking to a leading daily, Sajid said, “It’s been a great experience working with Sabbir, Tiger and Shraddha and the Baaghi story needs to be taken ahead. We plan on starting the shoot in Shanghai in 2017.”
The director is currently involved in another project, which he needs to wrap up before he takes the sequel to floors. The movie, named ‘Munna Michael’ also features Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
The sequel will be shot across India and China. The Tourism Ministry of China apparently extended their invitation to the producers, inviting them to shoot in their country.
“Action and romance are my signature themes and I love working with Sajid bhai since he is an extremely director-friendly producer. He stands in the background like a pillar, letting the director do his job to the best of his ability. The film is still being scripted and casting for a fierce villain is underway. We’ll just have to wait and watch now.” Sabbir said,
