Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 teaser revealing Ranveer Singh’s look to be attached with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2? Reports

Don is one of the most popular franchises in the Hindi film industry. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third installment for 12 years. To put the anticipation to rest, Farhan Akhtar dropped an announcement video of Don 3 earlier today (8 August). However, details about the Don 3 cast are still under wraps. According to rumors, Ranveer Singh has been chosen to headline the biggie. As per the latest reports, the teaser video of Don 3 featuring Ranveer Singh is expected to come out this week itself and will be screened in the theatres along with Gadar 2.

Don 3 teaser to be attached with Gadar 2

Reportedly, the teaser of Don 3 is scheduled to release digitally this week. A source cited by a publication stated, “The teaser for Don 3 is scheduled to release digitally this week. The team is enthusiastic about introducing Ranveer Singh as the new Don to the contemporary cinema audience. The introduction will take place through a well-crafted teaser, slated to be digitally unveiled in the next 2 to 3 days.”

The aforementioned teaser will be screened in the cinema halls through the Independence Day week with Gadar 2. “Gadar is an action film, which is expected to set the box office on fire. Farhan Akhtar and co. are keen to screen the teaser of Don 3 at national chains all across the country. The same teaser might be screened with Ranveer’s own, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 as well,” the source added.

Farhan Akhtar announced Don 3

On 8 August, Farhan shared a video announcing Don 3. Although he didn’t mention anything in the caption, the clip did all the talking. It sheds no light on what one could expect from this new movie, except its tagline: ‘A New Era Begins.’

Meanwhile, the original Don starred Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role and was released in 1978. 28 years later in 2006, Farhan Akhtar rebooted the franchise with Don: The Chase Begins Again starring Shah Rukh Khan. He also made a sequel titled Don 2: The King Is Back in 2011.
