Kangana Ranaut will be playing an Indian Air Force pilot in ‘Tejas’. The shoot will begin in December later this year. Kangana took to her Twitter handle to share the news. Sharing a picture of her in the dress of a pilot, she wrote, “#Tejas to take-off this December! Airplane Proud to be part of this exhilarating story that is an ode to our brave airforce pilots! Jai Hind”.
‘Tejas’ is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and it is his second movie on the armed forces after ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. It will be directed by Sarvesh Mewara.

The first look poster of ‘Tejas’ was launched in February this year.

As per a report in Mid-Day, talking about the film, Kangana said, “Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday… Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes … Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie.”
Apart from ‘Tejas’, Kangana will also star in ‘Thalaivi’, a biopic on Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa.
