After Veere Di Wedding, powerhouse duo Ektaa R. Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor have partnered again for the upcoming coming-of-age comedy film THANK YOU FOR COMING. Its trailer was recently released and garnered appreciation for its representation of female friendship. The film has been handpicked to be unveiled with a World Premiere at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival 2023.

Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill starrer have become the sole Indian feature film with a Gala premiere at the highly esteemed film festival. The chick flick tells the story of Kanika Kapoor, a single girl in her thirties, and her quest for true love and pleasure. A comedic yet introspective journey unfolds, exploring love, society, and the essence of female pleasure. Apart from this, some other films that were shortlisted to premiere at the festival include A Normal Family, Dumb Money, Lee, and Sly.

Rhea Kapoor, expressing her excitement says, “I am ecstatic for Thank You For Coming to be the only Indian Feature Film having its gala world premiere in TIFF and making a mark globally. I am proud that the jury at TIFF has identified this an important subject to be screened at their prestigious festival.

The trailer for the upcoming film released in the previous week and was liked by the audience for its relevant theme and storyline. It stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi in pivotal roles. Directed by Karan Boolani and written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh, the chick flick will have a worldwide release on 6 October, 2023.
