We almost thought that Priyanka Chopra had bid adieu to her not-so-red-carpet-esque days. We’ve been either seeing the desi global star in larger-than-life clothing, hawt bikinis or her glamorous New York glimpses that we get through her social media handles. Even when she’s just walking across the road with her darling dog Diana, she looks like she’s just waiting to hear “Roll camera…action!”

So, when recently we spotted the actress in an understated, Indian avatar, we were enthralled! For an event for UNICEF in Delhi, Priyanka wore a pretty pastel suit that was soothing to the eyes. The floral baby pink number with dark pink, green and purple-coloured hand embroidery belonged to Rahul Mishra’s 2017 couture collection and worked wonders for PeeCee’s complexion, making her glow. The 3D kurta and churidaar look was teamed with a matching, intricately embroidered dupatta that complemented the ensemble. If you are as observant as we are, you must have noticed that the actress looks worn out on many occasions in India, courtesy her busy schedule where she’s always travelling and overworked. But at this event, she looked fresh without a hint of exhaustion. We’re not sure if it was the outcome of excellent makeup or a good night’s beauty sleep! Nevertheless, Priyanka looked resplendent and we couldn’t take our eyes off her. She rounded off the look with a small green bindi and pair of drool-worthy white jootis with silver work. Stylist Ami Patel went the no-accessories route and makeup was kept muted with subtle brown lips.
Pretty and so effing refreshing!
