During the docu-series The Romantics, Aditya Chopra revealed how SRK was initially hesitant to play romantic hero Raj in the film. Talking about movie, King Khan shared, “DDLJ kind of seeps in old values, but it is so wonderfully in a new bottle. And still, it was a very youth-oriented love story. Normally, love stories are Romeo and Juliet, where you go against the system, the family, you know, West Side Story.”
The movie continues to run in Mumbai’s iconic Maratha Mandir theatre.
