‘The Big Bull’: Abhishek Bachchan kick-starts shooting of this Ajay Devgn production

Recently we came across reports of Abhishek Bachchan portraying the role of stockbroker Harshad Mehta in Ajay Devgn’s upcoming home production ‘The Big Bull’. While not much has been announced about the film yet, Jr. Bachchan has kick-started the film’s shoot.

Earlier there were reports that Indra Kumar and Abhishek have been in talks for making a film inspired by the real-life story of stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Confirming these reports, the ‘Manmarziyaa’ actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture from the film’s mahurat shot. The film has been titled ‘The Big Bull’.

Earlier it was reported that Indra Kumar will be directing the project, however, now it’s Kookie Gulati who’s helming the project. ‘The Big Bull’ is being produced by Ajay Devgn.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film will also star Ileana D’Cruz in the female lead but she has not been roped in opposite Abhishek. While talking about the film, a source close to the development informed the tabloid, “It is based on real events that took place between 1990 and 2000 and changed India’s financial fabric. Ajay loved the subject and immediately agreed to back it. Ileana has a very strong role in the film but isn’t paired opposite Abhishek. The team is on the lookout for an actress to be paired with him.”
