Anupam Kher reveals Salman Khan did THIS after watching The Kashmir Files

The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri was released in theatres on March 11. The movie has been riding high on positive reviews from critics and audiences. The movie stars Anupam Kher playing the role of Pushkar Nath. Anupam Kher spoke about the reaction of actor Salman Khan to his recently released movie The Kashmir Files. The actor shared Salman’s thoughts on the movie. Kher revealed that Salman Khan watched The Kashmir Files and reportedly called him to congratulate him on his stellar acting performance.

Speaking on Times Now Navbharat’s Frankly Speaking, Kher opened up about the celebrities who personally reached out to him after watching The Kashmir Files. He mentioned that Salman Khan called him and congratulated him about the movie. Anupam Kher said, “But individually, I must say, Salman Khan called me the other day and congratulated me.”

Meanwhile, actors Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan also heaped praise on The Kashmir Files. Aamir said that every Indian must watch the movie based on the Kashmir genocide.

During the interview, Kher was also questioned about the Hindi film industry’s silence over the box office success of the movie. The actor said that he was ‘surprised’ with how the film performed. He said, “As far as the Hindi film industry is concerned, I think they’re too much in a shock. Aisa kabhi hua nahi hai. Whenever a shocking thing happens, it’s a very very strange reaction.”

Talking about the box office collection of The Kashmir Files, the movie has managed to cross the 200 crore mark, nationally. The film that opened with a collection of over 3 crores nett only is currently one of the third highest movie with a second week collection. The movie also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar.
