Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming movie ‘Fanney Khan’ has been in the news due to changes in its star cast. Now, actor R Madhavan, who was initially a part of the movie, has opted out. The real reason being he could not allot dates for the movie. He revealed the same in a statement, “I loved the script and was really keen to be part of an interesting ensemble like ‘Fanney Khan’. Unfortunately I couldn’t commit to the project due to date issues. I wish the team all the luck.” Producer Prernaa Arora added, “I think Madhavan is one of the finest actors we have today. I look forward to working with him in the future.”
The movie stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in main roles. Rao is a recent addition to the star cast. Talking about Ash, the actor stated, “She’s the most beautiful woman in the world. It’s a great story, there’s a lot of love, and the content is not just entertaining but is detailed and different. There will be lots of workshops and readings once I am back.” (Also Read: Is this Anil Kapoor’s salt and pepper look for ‘Fanney Khan’?)
Earlier, there were some reports which stated that Aishwarya was unhappy about Madhavan being roped in for the movie. However, the director had denied these reports by saying, “It is quite unfortunate that such false and baseless stories are created to grab attention. There is zero truth to that, we are all a team and ‘Fanney Khan’ is a dear project to the whole team.”
Anyway, Madhavan is no longer a part of the movie and we are surely going to miss him.
