The reason Shahid Kapoor doesn’t want to get clicked with Kareena Kapoor

Bollywood’s chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor is on a high these days as his professional as well as personal life is going great guns. The actor is awaiting the birth of his first child and also gearing up for the release of his next ‘Udta Punjab’.  The Abhishek Chaubey directorial is much awaited due to its nouvelle concept and also for the comeback of ‘Jab We Met’ odi of Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor on the big screen once again albeit after a long time.

Yes, the ex-couple will be seen in ‘Udta Punjab’ but will not be sharing any screen space. During the trailer launch of the movie, the media was anxious to capture Shahid and Kareena in one frame together on the stage. But the couple maintained a distance that was touted as awkwardness by the paparazzi.

Finally, Shahid Kapoor has come clear on the whole awkward claims. He said, “Firstly, how do you decide that we were awkward? Were we staring at each other? If Kareena and I had pictures together, then people would write only about that and talk only about that. We were there as a team of four to promote ‘Udta Punjab’. I wanted the movie to be represented well. That is why we made sure we are standing in a way that the press will not click pics that they want to click, which are controversial and put out something wrong out there. We wanted to be correct about the representation of the film.”
