The reason why Salman Khan opted out of ‘Shuddhi’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan replaced by newbie Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar‘s ‘Shuddhi’, this news shook Bollywood. Later when Salman Khan confirmed the news on Twitter, Karan Johar too followed that tweet with the announcement that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were the film’s lead pair. Now there are many versions as to why the Dabangg Khan has opted out of Karan’s magnum opus.

As yet none of the two, have revealed the reason behind the change in the star-cast. There is silence from both sides as to why Salman Khan, who was super excited about working with Karan Johar has opted out of the project all of a sudden.

Apparently the decision has been taken months ago, but was revealed to the public recently. Salman Khan had made up his mind on not doing ‘Shuddhi’ long ago, but due to mutual understanding between his and Karan, maintained silence. Now that Karan had found the lead pair for his movie, Salman made the decision public.

A certain section of Bollywood is gossiping about the real reason behind Salman Khan’s decision. It seems that the Dabangg Khan was offended that Karan was part of the AIB’s live show — The Roast, where jokes were made about his younger sister Arpita and he decided to walk out of the film.
