The secret why Rahul Dholakia chose none but Shah Rukh Khan for ‘Raees’

Ever since we saw the teaser of ‘Raees’, nothing else is registering on our minds anymore. Shah Rukh Khan is delivering exceptional performance in all his films of late. After ‘Fan’ which was a dark thriller, his compassionate character in ‘Dear Zindagi’ won all our hearts. And now, Miyan bhai is on his way!

However, the man himself was curious enough to know why Dholakia thought of him as the protagonist.

“I told him there’s a line in the film which describes the protagonist Raees and is apt for him too. Instantly he quipped, `Baniye ka dimag aur miya bhai ki daring and I was amazed at how quickly he’d grasped the gist of the film and his role,” Rahul says.

When Rahul narrated the script to him, SRK was on his way to an award ceremony. He agreed to spend those 10 minutes on listening to the script. It took Rahul 45 minutes to reach till the interval of the story. However, by then, King Khan had been gripped by the story and he wanted to hear more!

The trailer releases tomorrow and the film is coming on 26th January 2017. Now you know what to look forward to!
