‘The Sky Is Pink’: Aamir Khan is all praise for the trailer, says “can’t wait to see the movie”

After a long wait, makers of ‘The Sky Is Pink’ released its trailer a few days back. Fans are happy to see Priyanka Chopra back after a long hiatus. It was worth the wait as the trailer won the hearts of common people as well as Bollywood celebrities. Everyone is raving the entire team for the spectacular trailer.

Aamir Khan too watched the trailer of ‘The Sky Is Pink’ and he is all praise for the entire team. Taking to his Twitter handle, Aamir wrote, “Looks like Shonali has made another fantastic film. I am sure Priyanka, Farhan and Zaira’s performances in the film will wow us. Sid, wishing you the best for your first independent film!”

Meanwhile, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

‘The Sky Is Pink’ is about the story of a young woman, played by Zaira Wasim, who is diagnosed with a terminal illness, and how it affects her parents (Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar). It received a 4-minute long standing ovation at the festival. The early reviews of the film have come and all are heaping praise for director Shonali Bose.

In an interview with Variety, Shonali Bose said, “For me as a filmmaker, I was drawn to it for precisely that reason. I wanted to delve into that subject matter. I myself was very comfortable with my son’s death; at peace with it. I wanted to explore the couple’s relationship. I wanted to explore what happens to a love story, to a marriage, when faced with the loss of a child. My own marriage ended when I lost my son. 80% of people’s marriages end when they lose a child.”

‘The Sky Is Pink’ is slated to hit the Indian screens on October 11.
