THIS actor will play Janhvi Kapoor’s father in Gunjan Saxena biopic

Pankaj Tripathi, who is riding high on the success of ‘Mirzapur’, will be seen as Janhvi Kapoor’s father in the upcoming Gunjan Saxena biopic. He has already started shooting for the film, which will see him essay the role of Anuj Saxena.

“I am having a lot of fun while shooting for the film. Janhvi is a very sincere and well behaved actress. She respects me a lot and I too respect her for the sincerity and commitment towards her work. Sharan is a very talented director and is well versed with his craft. It’s an opportunity working under Dharma Productions. They leave no stones unturned to get the right things on board,” Pankaj was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. The film will be directed by Sharan Saxena.

For the uninitiated, Gunjan was the first female IAF combat pilot as well as the female recipient of Shaurya Chakra.

Janhvi Kapoor made a rocking start to her Bollywood career with ‘Dhadak’. The film went on to become really successful at the box office, and Janhvi was praised by critics and audiences alike.

Other than the Gunjan Saxena biopic, Janhvi also has Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ in her kitty. The film will also see Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in the second season of ‘Mirzapur’ as well as the second season of ‘Sacred Games’.
