CONFIRMED: After Sonu Sood, this actor quits Kangana’s ‘Manikarnika’

Kangana  Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi‘ has been embroiled into controversies even before the movie went on floors. Just a few days ago, the film again got into a controversy when Kangana stepped in the shoes of the director. After that, Sonu Sood, who was playing Sadashivrao Bhau in the movie, quit after a showdown with the actress. Now, yet another actress has quit the movie and she is ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ fame actress Swati Semwal. She was playing Parvati, Sonu Sood’s on-screen wife.

The teaser of ‘Manikarnika’ is releasing on 2nd October and just two days before its release, the movie has got into yet another problem. There was a news earlier of Swati planning to quit the movie but there was no such confirmation from the actress. But now she has confirmed the news. In a phone conversation with news agency IANS, Swati told, “I have quit the project. Earlier also I was not sure, I was in two minds, but a few days back, my team had a meeting and we decided to quit the project because I don’t think so at this point of time, this project is good for the career path that I am taking.”

Swati further said that a meeting was held as she wanted to know more about the project and about her role. “After the meeting, I realised that it was not so significant anymore. It was not what we signed for when I signed the film, so we decided to part ways,” added Swati.

‘Manikarnika’ is one of most anticipated movies of 2019. It also stars Ankita Lokhande and Atul Kulkarni and will hit the screens on January 25, 2019.
