Most ‘Bigg Boss’ contestants are known to be a part of some small or big controversies and looks like, this time around, it is actress and ex-‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Sana Khan’s boyfriend Ismail Khan, who is stuck in a legal trouble.
Ismail is a flat owner in a housing society in Andheri and is now accused of illegally setting up six CCTV cameras in the premises of the building without any permission from police or even the society. A report in a leading newspaper suggests the same. The report also claims that Ismail maintains that the CCTV cameras were installed 9 years ago as his personal safety and are different from the ones already set up but the society.
The six cameras were set up at the main gate, on the corners of the building, the lift lobby on the ground floor and one right outside his door. Ismail’s society however claims that they gave no permission to install the cameras and they’ve now have made a police complaint saying women in the society feel that they are being monitored.
A particular lady resident of the building was quoted saying, “In the past, the cameras did not bother us too much but when he made some alterations to his flat that flouted the BMC regulations, we approached the BMC. When he found out that we had complained, he tried to threaten us and from his conversations, we realized that he had been monitoring our movements. Then we decided to lodge a complaint.”
Filmmaker and activist Ashok Pandit is also a part of the society and has written to the police stating, “The ladies in our building have become conscious of what they are wearing and doing. Khan had applied for permission back in 2007 and despite our denying him, he went ahead and installed cameras.”
This is not the first time that Ismail has stuck in a legal trouble. Ismail has earlier been arrested in 2014 for molesting a woman.
