Prateik Babbar

Dharamshala International Film Festival, which takes place at McLeod Ganj, came to an end yesterday. Apart from some great films and a lot of film enthusiasts, you might have stumbled upon a familiar and young handsome hunk running a food stall and selling pizza, dosa and medu vada to visitors. None other than actor Prateik Babbar for you!

Last year during the same festival, Prateik had met Murugan, who owned a food shack but needed money to repair it. He collaborated with Murugan and the shack started selling pizza and pasta to the festival visitors. It soon became a popular food destination for the folks roaming around at the festival premises. The shack was soon developed into a restaurant. The restaurant was earlier named ‘Murugan’ after the owner’s name but is now called ‘Morgan’ to make it sound urban cool.

This year, they added South Indian delicacies too, which sold like hot cakes. Among the satiated customers were actor Naseeruddin Shah and his wife Ratna Pathak Shah, who indulged in dosa and medu vada.

“I am looking at expanding my business in Delhi and Mumbai, with a franchise model in place. I am working out the modalities,” Prateik says.

Good luck for the new venture!
