Amid many a item numbers (most of them recreated and gone wrong), John Abraham’s ‘Parmanu’ will feature a special dance number, performed by none other than Aditi Rao Hydari.
“What worked in her favour is that she is an exceptional dancer. The song is an important part of the story. The song isn’t an item number. It is an Indian classical folk number, which is also patriotic in nature. The makers wanted to stay true to the national theme and sentiment of the film and didn’t want to spoil the taste with a raunchy item track. They will shoot the song in Rajasthan next month,” a source revealed to DNA. (Also Read: John Abraham reveals why the release date of his film ‘Parmanu’ has been changed)
Aditi’s last outing was ‘Bhoomi’, Sanjay Dutt’s comeback vehicle in Bollywood. The film proved to be a dud at the box office, and received mostly negative response from critics as well. However, many found Aditi the only sane part about the film.
The actress will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, wherein she plays Ranveer Singh’s on-screen wife.
