This could be the reason for Diljit Dosanjh not promoting ‘Phillauri’ on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’

Actress Anushka Sharma is gung-ho about her forthcoming flick ‘Phillauri’ and she is neck deep in promotions. She even made an appearance on Kapil Sharma’s reality TV show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ which airs on Sony TV. However, her co-star from the movie, ‘Udta Punjab’ actor Diljit Dosanjh was not a part of the episode and Anushka made a solo appearance. This raised the curiosity of many, as to what could have kept Diljit away from making an appearance on one of the biggest television shows.

Well, reports in a leading daily suggest that Colors TV channel could be the reason for Diljit’s no show on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The actor, who is a singing sensation in Punjab is currently judging the singing reality show ‘Rising Star’ which airs on Colors. So, the makers of the show and channel authorities have restricted him from promoting his movie on any other rival channel until his contract as a judge of the show on Colors.

Also, if one can recollect then comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma made his beginnings on the small screen from Colors before making a shift to Sony and things had turned sour between him and Colors TV CEO Raj Nayak who wasn’t happy that Kapil decided to switch over to a rival channel with a new show.

So it’s quite possible that Diljit’s contract with the channel is the reason for his no show on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
