A few months back, a short film titled ‘Tandav’, starring Manoj Bajpayee, had came out. Director Devasish Makhija had used a track from Nucleya in the film and it brought about an entirely different flavour to the story. Now, for the first time in Bollywood, Shailendra Sinha’s ‘Sunshine Music Tours and Travels’ is going to feature music created by Nucleya, the top EDM artist of India.
EDM refers to Electronic Dance Music which is usually a combination of electronic music genres. Although music composers have experimented with various genres and instruments, this is one form of music which was never solely opted for.
DJ Nucleya is probably the most renowned EDM artist of India, who uses almost every existing form of sound and music to create interesting tracks and Bollywood remixes.
“Nucleya’s album and the chosen tracks do complete justice to the film. He will play a significant role in the background score, which also feature four international musicians. The songs have been used at certain points in the film. For instance, there’s an element in the climax where the song, Mumbai Dance, comes in. People treat background scores of films rather casually. I believe that if you shut your eyes and don’t see the film, the background score lets you feel it.” Shailendra Singh stated.
The film, as well, marks the Bollywood debut of Sunny Kaushal, brother of actor Vicky Kaushal.
