The issue of equal pay scale in Bollywood for both men and women has been talked about for long now and many B-Townies are coming in support of it. The latest actor to join the bandwagon is none other than superstar Aamir Khan.
He recently spoke about the pay disparity issue that is still prevalent in Bollywood and said that the pay scale of an actor should not be dependent on his gender.
He said, “Pay scale should not depend on a person’s sex. It should be equal. Patriarchal mindset should change.”
He spoke at the discussion panel of ‘The Indian Futurescape’. He also spoke about how Hollywood offers don’t interest him. He said, “Working in the west doesn’t interest me particularly. What interests me is a good film. It should be a film that touches my heart and I feel I can perform in. Where the film is made is irrelevant. There have been number of offers to me from Hollywood but I did not like the scripts.”
Aamir Khan will be seen in the wrestling drama ‘Dangal’ that is based on the life of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The movie is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will be releasing on December 23, 2016.
