Rani Mukerji is all set to be back on the big screen after a gap of around three and a half years with Siddharth P Malhotra’s ‘Hichki’. The actress plays the character of a lady who suffers from Tourette Syndrome and the makers were in dilemma about what title will suit the film.
Well, later Aditya Chopra came to everyone’s rescue. The filmmaker, who is the presenter of the film, had suggested the title ‘Hichki’.
The director of the film, Siddharth revealed, “It was quite a task to figure out the perfect title of the movie. It needed to be sensitive, thought provoking, intriguing as well as have a direct connect to the theme of the film. It was Adi who nailed the title of the film. He took a few days to deliberate on the same and when he told Maneesh (Sharma) and me his suggestion, we were ecstatic. Nothing could have described the film better than ‘Hichki’. It’s uncomplicated, it’s a strong metaphor to discrimination and it’s an extremely colloquial and relatable word.”
‘Hichki’ is slated to hit the screens on February 23, 2018. (Also Read: Hichki: Rani Mukerji indulges in kite-flying activity in Ahmedabad)
