We don’t like bland beautiful faces. The glamour world is full of Barbie dolls that can’t even twitch their noses but still are in the B-town business. That’s exactly why we love Bhumi Pednekar as she’s not just another pretty face and adds her personality to everything she wears. And of course, she’s proved her acting prowess with just a few films.

Bhumi recently inaugurated an exhibition in Mumbai and picked an Anoli Shah dress for the occasion. The bright, summery yellow dress with a matching full-length cape looked lovely and we’re fascinated with how she looked ultra-feminine in that flowy silhouette. The tousled ponytail with some strands left loose created that perfect breezy look. Styled by Aastha Sharma, Bhumi chose these gorgeous gold Purab Paschim earrings and Charles & Keith gold sandals that added a touch of elegance. Now here’s the hiccup. No matter how much you have invested in your outfit, if one accessory is not on point, your whole look gets ruined. That’s exactly what happened with Bhumi. The actress chose this thick black belt over the dress that was too jarring and the contrast effect didn’t really work. We really wish she had opted for maybe a thin tan-coloured or white belt instead and worn it more casually, probably with a twisted loop. Even a denim or gold belt would have worked, just not the black, for sure. Is anyone else as bothered as us by the black belt?
We absolutely love how you experiment with fashion, Bhumi, but this time, it really was a bit mismatched.
