Throwback: The first look test that got Deepika the ‘Om Shanti Om’ part

Can’t believe that it’s already a decade since one of the most iconic films of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, ‘Om Shanti Om’, hit the silver screen on November 9, 2007. Adding to the excitement, we really can’t gulp the thought that Deepika Padukone has completed 10 glorious years in the film industry today. From there till now, the actress is and will always be an inspiration to many.

Coming to the main plot now, it was today when the ace choreographer-cum-filmmaker, Farah Khan, directed ‘Om Shanti Om’ and brought a storm on screen with the sizzling chemistry between Shah Rukh and Deepika, and revenge filled drama story of her film. And that was the reason why Farah was in a nostalgic mood today and so she shared a picture of Deepika on her Twitter handle which read “The 1st photo shoot of @deepikapadukone .. the 1 where i knew shes my Shantipriya.. #10yrsofOSO.. pic credit-@avinashgowarikar”, see the tweet below:

Deepika, who is on cloud nine these days and has also been a part of some international projects of late was surely destined to come this far. Her bubbly and vivacious role as Shantipriya in ‘OSO’ is still remembered by her fans. Also the above tweet shared by Farah Khan presents Deepika in a very authentic look which surely takes us back to those ‘OSO’ days.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone has a big release this year and that’s ‘Padmavati’.
