The most awaited trailer of the magnum opus ‘Thugs Of Hindostan‘ was unveiled today and it is creating a buzz for all the good reasons. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the action drama is helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on the occasion of Diwali, i.e November 8. As the trailer is launched today, we bring you the five things to look forward in the trailer.
1. Starcast
Just a few days ago, the makers dropped the motion pictures of all the titular characters of the movie. Since then, it has raised the curiosity among the audiences to have the further look of the star cast. Needless to say, Amitabh Bachchan as Khudabaksh, Aamir as Firangi Malla, Katrina in the role of dancing queen Suraiyya, Fatima as fierce Zafira and of course British actor Lloyd Owen in the role of John Clive, are spectacular. It feels amazing to see the stellar star cast under one roof.
2. Visual Treat
‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is considered as one of the most ambitious movies of Yash Raj Productions. If you don’t know, let us tell you that Yash Raj Studios opened yFX in 2016, a group of experienced, skilled and award-winning VFX technicians. So you can imagine that in ‘TOH’, special attention is given to the VFX. As it is a period drama, so the movie is set on the backdrop of the 19th century. Seeing the visual effects in the trailer, we can predict that the film would easily stand out with its visual extravaganza. The massive ships, stunning locations, costumes look outstanding.
3. Actions and Stunts
As ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is an adventure drama, we can witness high-octane action sequences in the movie. ‘Dangal’ girl Fatima Sana Sheikh who is playing the role of ‘Zafira’ is seen indulging in sword-fighting and archery. Also, we get glimpses of Big B raising his swords for the enemies. ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ will be a perfect treat for the action lovers.
4. Dialogues
Though the trailer starts with the character of John Clive, it is followed with a dialogue of Khudabaksh (Amitabh Bachchan) that goes, “Dhai din ki dopehari, chand raat amavasya ki, sheesham ke ghodon pe ho kar sawar, ayegi shammat gunehgaron ki.” The dialogue is enough to give us goosebumps.
Aamir Khan who is playing Firangi Malla has treated us with funny dialogues that will surely make you laugh. One of Aamir’s dialogues from the trailer of ‘TOH’ is, ‘Sahab…bohat kaminey ko angrezi mein kya kehte hai? To which John Clive replies ‘Bastard’. Then Aamir in a funny way tells him ‘Hum hain sahab. Aap se milke bohut ki maaza aaya.’ The dialogues are written by Vijay Krishna Acharya himself who had earlier written dialogues for films like ‘Guru’ (2007), ‘Raavan’ (2010), ‘Dhoom’ (2004), ‘Dhoom 2’ (2006) and ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013).
5. Music and Dance
The music of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is given by acclaimed music duo Ajay-Atul. The dramatic background score sets the mood of the trailer. Also, open your hearts to see Katrina Kaif aka Suraiyaa giving us some of the best moves.
6. Locations
The shoot of this magnum opus is shot in jaw-dropping locations of Malta, Southern Europe where two large ships have been built in the 18th-century style. As per a report in PTI, Acharya said, “The set of the film is in a high-security water zone, with restricted access. Both these ships have been built in the early eighteenth-century style when vessels would carry cannons and other weapons. An international crew has been hard at work creating these elaborate ships in Malta. Most of the portions filmed on board these ships involve high octane action.”
‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ has all the elements a highly anticipated movie needs to have. We are sure that it will be a cinematic extravaganza and will wow the audiences.
