Tiger 3 was released in theatres on Diwali, 12th November 2023. Despite being touted as the dullest day, Tiger 3 managed to create new records at the box office on the first day.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 had a roaring start at the box office. The film was released on 12^th November, Diwali. Despite Laxmi Puja being considered the dullest day, the film managed to mint Rs 44.50 crores domestically. Talking about its worldwide collection, the movie raked in Rs 94 crores globally. With this collection, on the first day itself, the Maneesh Sharma directed actioner Tiger 3 has created new records at the Indian box office.

Salman Khan’s biggest opener

With Tiger 3, Salman Khan has recorded the highest first-day grosser of his career. It is followed by Bharat (42.30 cr) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (40.35 cr). To note, PRDP also released on Diwali in 2015.

Katrina Kaif’s second-biggest opener

The popular franchise emerged as the second biggest opener of Katrina Kaif’s career after Thugs of Hindostan (52.25 cr). Apart from this, her top openers include Bharat (42.30), Dhoom 3 (36.22 cr), and Tiger Zinda Hai (34.10 cr). To note, Katrina is among the top Indian actresses who has delivered maximum 100 crore films in her career.

Third biggest opener of 2023

Salman Khan’s film has trumped Gadar 2 at the box office and emerged as the third biggest Bollywood opener of 2023. The top 5 Hindi films with the biggest opening of the year are Jawan (75 cr), Pathaan (57 cr), Tiger 3 (44.50 cr), Gadar 2 (Rs 40.10 crore), Adipurush (Rs 36 crore).

Tiger 3 is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and third installment of Tiger franchise. It is the thirs biggest opener of the universe after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (57 cr), Hrithik Roshan’s War (53.35), followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (34.10 cr) and Ek Tha Tiger (32.93 cr). To note, Tiger 3 is highest first day opener of the Tiger franchise.
