We are well aware of what Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ had to go through. Thanks to all the protest from political parties, the film could not see the light of the day on the slated release date. Looks like, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ too is facing a same kind of situation.
As per reports, political parties MNS, Shiv Sena and Congress are against the decision of cinema owners to allot maximum number of screens to ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and give almost nothing to Marathi films ‘Deva’ and ‘Gachhi’.
MNS President Amey Khopkar has quoted, “We are not against the release of any film, including ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, our objection is why should all the slots be reserved for just one film and all others have no slots to exhibit their films.”
He further said that “monopolising of theatres by Yash Raj Films in this manner” will not be tolerated. He also sent out a warning. “They should not forget that they do all their film shootings in Maharashtra. If this matter is not resolved amicably, we shall be forced to stop even their shoots,” stated Amey Khopkar.
Let’s see whether ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will release on the given date or not.
