Tigmanshu Dhulia, 49, to play father of Shah Rukh Khan, 51! DETAILS INSIDE

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a dwarf in Aanand L Rai’s upcoming movie, where he will reunite with his ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ leading ladies, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. We are quite excited to see him in an avatar that we have never seen before on our romance icon.

And now, we have some fresh news on the cast. Tigmanshu Dhulia will be playing Shah Rukh Khan’s father in the movie. But, what strikes us as little odd is the fact that Dhulia, who is 49, is younger by a good two years to Khan, who is 51!

Well, this is not the first time a younger actor has been cast as a parent to the older one. A younger Shefali Shah played mother to an older Akshay Kumar in ‘Waqt: A Race Against Time’, and same went for Boman Irani who played the father of the love interest of an older Sanjay Dutt in ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’. Coming to the film, Tigmanshu said that he had an amazing time shooting for the Aanand L Rai movie.

The filmmaker and actor said to a news agency, “I finished my shoot for now, still 2-3 days of shoot is left. It was very good to be in the film. I am playing Shah Rukh’s father and that was really fun.”
