After a successful venture in the form of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns,’ R Madhavan is back with his power-packed performance in ‘Saala Khadoos.’ The film directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad is a sports drama wherein Madhavan would don the hat of a boxing coach who would strive hard to promote and polish a raw talent of a lady wrestler played by Ritika Singh. With this film a real life boxer, Ritika Singh, would make her Bollywood debut.
‘Saala Khadoos’ is slated to release on January 29, 2016 clashing with Adult-comedy ‘Mastizaade’ starring Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das. The makers of ‘Saala Khadoos’ recently presented their film to the Censor Board who in turn ordered them to bring about three changes in the film. Censor Board apparently had a problem with 2 scenes and the title of the film. The film certification authorities had a problem with the word “Saala” in the title. They found it abusive and, therefore, asked the makers to change it. But, lucky, this problem has been solved.
According to the recent reports, the cuts from the film have been restored all thanks to the producer Raj Kumar Hirani. A source revealed that the producer through his contacts in the I & B Ministry got the issue solved. Source said, “But producer Raj Kumar Hirani got in touch with his friends in the I&B (Information and Broadcasting) Ministry and requested that the cuts be restored. The next thing the CBFC knew, it was ‘told’ by the Ministry to allow the title. Two other cuts were also restored. In one of the verbal cuts, someone makes a snide comment about a woman with an ‘itch between her legs’. The CBFC objected strongly to the a woman’s sexuality being referred to in this crass way.”
Well, alls well that ends well!
