‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’: PM Narendra Modi watches the trailer, lauds Akshay Kumar’s effort

The trailer of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ has been receiving praises ever since it has been released. From B-Town celebs to viewers, everyone is deeply connecting with this sensitive issue. And now, the trailer has won the heart of none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has lauded the same, calling it a good effort. The trailer of the film reflected on the importance of having a toilet in the household, and it directly found connect with PM Modi’s project, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Soon after, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle on Monday to praise the actor writing, “Good effort to further the message of cleanliness. 125 crore Indians have to continue working together to create a Swachh Bharat.” [sic]

Naturally, Akshay felt overwhelmed with a response coming straight from the PM, and wrote, “Thank you so much honourable Sir ?? Hope we succeed in changing mindsets and truly making a difference.” [sic]
