The makers of the film have finally reacted to the speculations.
On Saturday, the makers of the film released a statement clarifying the many casting rumours. From requesting everyone to refrain from speculation to revealing the casting is nearly complete, read on to know all they said.
The makers said in a statement said, “There are many unsubstantiated theories and information doing rounds about the casting of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. We truly appreciate the excitement around Toxic, but at this point, we would request everyone to refrain from speculation. The casting process for the film is near completion, and we are thrilled with the team we have onboard. As we gear up to bring this story to life, we request everyone to wait for the official announcements.”
In December 2023, Yash announced the film’s title with a video on Instagram. He captioned it, “’What you seek is seeking you’ – Rumi A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC.”
During a recent fan interaction, Kareena Kapoor Khan spoke about making her South debut, making fans speculate she’s teaming up with Yash in Toxic. She said, “Now, like I said, I might be doing a very big South film. Now it’s like, all pan-India so I don’t know where I’ll be shooting, but I’m excited for all my fans to know that it’s going to be the first time that I will be doing this.”
About Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups
The Yash starrer is being directed by Geethu Mohandas and co-produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. As per current reports, it will release in theatres on April 10, 2025. The movie supposedly revolves around a drug cartel mafia that operates in Goa.
