Mission Raniganj: Trailer of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer gripping thriller comes out a day after actress’s big-fat wedding

After the humongous success of OMG 2, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of the rescue thriller Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. While we eagerly anticipate the release of the film, the makers have finally dropped the trailer. The survival drama showcases the harsh reality of the 1989 Raniganj Coalfield mission.

The upcoming survival drama revolves around how Jaswant Singh Gill saved the lives of coal miners. The miners were trapped at Raniganj coalfield in 1989. With only 48 hours in the hand and a lack of a support system, how Jaswant Singh Gill carries out the mission is something exciting to watch. The trailer gives an insight into the plight of miners stuck in a flooded coalfield. It further shows how Akshay as Jaswant Singh defies all odds. One of the major highlights of the trailer is the brilliantly shot water sequence featuring Akshay and the impressive cast giving us a glimpse into the rescue mission.

About Mission Raniganj

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the film stars Kesari duo Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. Parineeti Chopra will essay the role of Jaswant Singh’s wife in the film. Talking about the trailer, the director shared a statement. He said, “As a filmmaker, I feel happy and extremely proud to showcase the trailer of ‘Mission Raniganj’. It talks about the relentless spirit and determination of the human spirit. I’m eagerly looking forward to sharing this thrilling and inspiring tale with audiences on the big screen.”

Mission Raniganj release date

The survival drama is all set to release in theatres on 6^th October 2023. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh. The film also stars, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, among others.
