Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi to narrate an unconventional love story with Dhadak 2

Filmmaker Karan Johar has now announced another anticipated fresh pairing Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri for the upcoming movie, Dhadak 2. The first instalment starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter as the leads. Now with a new movie, the makers have announced a new pairing. The film challenges the conventional love story and societal norms.

Shazia Iqbal is making her debut as the director. The movie explores class and status barriers stitched in societies’ minds. Also, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled. In the video, Siddhant’s character Neelesh says that he has no spot in the dreams she seeks. In contrast, Vidhisha asks him how to stop loving him. The poster also shows that ‘Dalit Lives Matter’. It also comes with a tagline saying, “When justice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.”

Moreover, Karan’s caption tells us that it is a story about two individuals from different castes fall in love but society becomes a big problem for him. Sharing the official announcement on Instagram, Karan wrote, “यह कहानी है थोड़ी अलग क्यूंकि एक था राजा, एक थी रानी – जात अलग थी…ख़तम कहानी Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal. #Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024”.

“Dhadak 2,” produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures, features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film is slated for release on November 22, 2024.
