On June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput killed himself by hanging to the ceiling. Since then, the nepotism debate ignited and there has been a huge uproar on social media slamming the Bollywood industry. Recently, the ‘Producers Guild India’ wrote an open letter to all who has been trying to tarnish the industry. The statement read, “The tragic death of a promising young star has been used by some as a tool to defame and slander the film industry and its members.”
Many celebs came in support of this statement and supported the guild. Angad Bedi, sharing the statement wrote on Instagram, “I came from delhi. I believed in my self… I worked hard and kept persevering to prove and win the vote of confidence from my casting directors..filmmakers and producers who In return have stood by me. I have tested for more than 200 odd projects and continue to do so. It’s my hard work and my passion for cinema that has made me find a place here under the sun. This industry has helped me make a living and look after my family. This place is my #karambhoomi and I respect it.”

Replying to Angad’s post, one user wrote, “Not everyone is lucky like you @angadbedi, coming from an influential home. Please be fair.” To which Angad replied back, “I have come from a home where you strive for excellence and self belief. And if that is influential then yes.”
