Trust us; we’re clueless about why Aishwarya is wearing that cringe-worthy dress!

For any outfit to make Aishwarya Rai Bachchan look less beautiful requires serious efforts. This time, the diva probably needs to fire her designer to rustle up this attire that did not flatter her breathtaking persona in any way. At an event in Bangalore, Aishwarya wore this Gauri and Nainika dress that was a major put off. For starters, the fit was totally unappealing and the blue and black number made her look shorter. Don’t you think so? And let’s not even talk about those shimmery floral appliqués looking right into your eyes. We can’t even unnotice them! If your memory is as good as ours, the actress had worn a dress with similar floral appliqués on the front at daughter Aaradhya’s birthday party. We weren’t big fans of that look and we don’t particularly like this dress either. There’s something too tacky about those huge flowers that kill the overall impact.

We still can’t understand why Aishwarya opted for this dress as it had more than one disaster factor; the second one being the ballroom skirt pattern. Argh! It just looks like she’s just stepped out of a kindergarten dance performance. The actress completed the look with a metallic watch and black heels (again blah) that didn’t really do much to save the look. She kept the beauty look subtle with nude lips and a hint of kohl. Her signature tousled hair left gave an easy-breezy vibe, but we wish she had experimented a bit with her tresses.

Nevertheless, she’s Aishwarya. And sometimes, even when the outfits don’t work, her simplicity, elegance and beauty always speak louder than anything else. No matter what she wears, we still look at all her pictures with curious eyes and look forward to all her fashion outings.
