You must be living under the rock if you do not know of the whole Akshay Kumar-Mallika Dua debacle that transpired on the sets of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, wherein, when Mallika came forward to ring the bell, Akshay playfully suggested, “Aap bell ko bajaiye, main aapko bajata hun.” Soon, it mired into a controversy and divided the whole nation on whether or not it was a sexist controversy. Mallika herself wrote an open letter, and her father, veteran journalist Vinod Dua too condemned this act on Akshay’s part. However, after staying silent for quite some time, it is Twinkle Khanna, celebrated columnist-author and Akshay’s wife, who has spoken up on the matter, and you have got to hear her.

Twinkle took to Twitter to express her views on the matter. We have seldom seen Mrs Funnybones unhappy and serious, given she has a sarcastic and witty take on everything, but this time, she has serious statement to make. Here it is. Well, not taking any sides, but we must say that she does have a point to make. After all, we often take a man’s guilt at face value. But is it always that a man is wrong?
