Did you know Twinkle Khanna lied about Rajesh Khanna not being her father? Actress recalls the hilarious story

Twinkle Khanna is also popularly known as Mrs Funnybones and rightfully so. The former actress has a witty and quirky sense of humour, which might not be to everyone’s taste. On Thursday, Twinkle Khanna shared one such incident which involved her father Rajesh Khanna. While she found it hilarious, her sister Rinke Khanna disagreed.

Twinkle Khanna lied about Rajesh Khanna not being her father

Taking to Instagram, Twinkle shared an old picture of her with Rinke and father Rajesh ji, and a new pic with her sister as well. She did that to celebrate sisterhood counting it as a blessing to have sisters. While the sisters were born a year apart, Twinkle shared that due to differences in their height and weight, they used to have a bond like ‘Tom and Jerry’ or ‘Laurel and Hardy’. They also teased each other on that, and one such joke Twinkle played on Rinke’s husband too.

Mrs Funnybones shared the hilarious incident of the first time she met sister Rinke Khanna’s husband. She said, “As her husband likes to recount, when he first came to meet my sister, I informed him, ‘You need to know we have different fathers. My father is Vinod Khanna, and hers is Rajesh Khanna, that’s why I am tall and she is not.’ My sister was livid, though I thought it was quite funny.”

She went on to add that even though she and Rinke might fight, they are also each other’s biggest support. Twinkle wrote, “But whenever I am in trouble, she is the first one by my side. She calls me every day, even if it’s to chat about mundane events. I can’t say that if life is a desert, she is my only oasis, but I know that under the scorching sun, she will definitely share that wide-brimmed hat with me, even if it’s just to throw some shade my way:) Here’s to sisters and what would we do without them.”

Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia had two daughters, Twinkle and Rinke. Both of them followed their parents’ footsteps in the industry and became actresses. However, they both quit the business and found their calling in other fields. Today, Twinkle in married to Akshay Kumar and is a celebrated columnist, writer and author as well.
