Former actress turned author Twinkle Khanna is one of those rare actresses who can laugh at herself. Time and again Twinkle keeps tickling netizens’ funnybones with her witty and sarcastic posts. Twinkle trolled her own film ‘Mela’ recently with a hilarious post. Read on.
Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, ‘Mela’ had released in 2000. The film starred Aamir Khan, his real-life brother Faisal Khan, and Twinkle Khanna in a pivotal role. Even after two decades, the film continues to be a source of embarrassment for its lead actors.
Yesterday, Twinkle took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of Tinu Verma (who played the villain Gujjar in Mela) on the back of a truck. Taking a dig at her film, Twinkle captioned the picture as, “Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation(sic).”

Interestingly, this is not the first time when Twinkle has openly trolled ‘Mela’. Back in March this year, she had tweeted, “Melas, by and large, can be hazardous to health- I would know :)”
