Karan Johar‘s Dream Team that comprised of actors Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra proved to be the biggest entertainers of this year, after delivering successful performances in the US. But apparently, the actual Dream Team consisted of two big Khans.
Rumours had it that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were originally to be a part of the Dream Team. A source reveals, “Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are huge all over the world so last year some wealthy show promoters came to sign Salman for a month-long tour of USA earlier this year. But the star couldn’t be a part of the shows as he was busy with ‘Tubelight’ and other commitments. It was then that his manager Reshma Shetty came up with the idea of getting together with the promoters and presenting them with a new-age group of stars in an impressive package. The Dream Team was helmed by another of Shetty’s clients Karan Johar. That’s how the three-week-long tour of the USA took place.”
Salman Khan is gearing up for the second schedule of ‘Tubelight’ directed by Kabir Khan and will start with the tenth season of popular reality TV series ‘Bigg Boss’ soon. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ opposite Alia Bhatt. He also has an Imtiaz Ali film with Anushka Sharma tentatively titled ‘The Ring’.
