Now, Aditya Dhar, who is the director of this war drama has revealed how he came up with this dialogue. In an interview with CineBlitz, Aditya said, ”As a child I remember visiting Army Clubs, where I had a senior officer use it to encourage the kids.” Dhar says, “It is something which very few army officers say. As a child I used to go with my friends to the Army Officers Club at Dhaula Kuan.”

The filmmaker further added, ”There was this Brigadier who would ask the kids with shouts of ‘How’s the Josh’ and would give chocolates to the one who shouted, ‘High Sir’ the loudest. That has remained with me. Then while researching for the film I did see some other officers use it as well.”

The said dialogue has gone viral and even India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman have used it in their speeches with great pride. Even the Indian cricket team after winning the ODI series against New Zealand were also heard saying, ”How’s the Josh?” ”High Sir.”
