Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam-starrer film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ completed three years of its release on Tuesday. The movie instantly became a hit amongst the fans.
In URI, Vicky essayed the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill while Yami played as Jasmine D’Almeida / Pallavi Sharma, an undercover RAW agent. The film also stars Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, and tells the story of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill of the Para Special Forces, who played a leading role in the events.
On this special occasion, the lead actor Vicky and Yami took to their social media handle shared behind-the-scenes pictures and expressed gratitude.

The film has received high critical acclaim and ranks among the highest-grossing Hindi films. It was undoubtedly been the biggest hit of 2019 so far, written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar, who is Yami Gautam’s husband and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner. The movie also grossed ₹342.06 crore (US$49 million) worldwide.
On the work front, Vicky will be seen next in Govinda Naam Mera opposite Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Next, he also has The Great Indian Family and Laxman Utekar’s untitled next with Sara Ali Khan. Whereas, on the other hand, Yami has Dasvi with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. She will also feature in A Thursday, Lost and in Oh My God 2 with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
