Varun Dhawan and Atlee to collaborate for the remake of THIS hit South film?

Actor Varun Dhawan will soon be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya. The actor is reportedly teaming up with Nitesh Tiwari for his next. Amid this, a new report reveals that the Kalank star is approached by popular South filmmaker Atlee for his next.

Reportedly Varun Dhawan and Atlee are teaming up for the Hindi remake of a hit South flick. Though there’s no official confirmation, apparently the project could be Arie’s film, Theri. The 2016 theatrical thriller originally starred Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

As reported by sources to ETimes, “Varun Dhawan has met Atlee and they will soon be working together on the Hindi remake of a South film. There’s a good chance that the film may be Vijay and Samantha starrer Theri.”

While there’s no official confirmation of the same as yet, But, if the reports do come true then Varun Dhawan will be stepping into Thalapathy Vijay’s shoes for the Hindi remake of Theri.

For the unversed, Theri revolves around a local baker Joseph Kuruvilla (Thalapathy Vijay). His dangerous past resurfaces when his young daughter’s life is endangered by a local gang. The action-thriller also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. It was one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies in 2016.

On the work front, Atlee is currently busy with his own film. The movie has superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Lady Superstar Nayanthara in lead roles.

Varun Dhawan is also reportedly in talks with Rajkumar Hirani for his next. He will be seen collaborating with Mohit Suri for an action thriller. The actor also has Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis in his kitty.
