Varun Dhawan calls Friends Reunion ‘super emotional’; gushes over the Ross and Rachel moment

The Friends Reunion had united the whole world as everyone was stuck to their screens on May 27 to see their favourite six best friends Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer come together after more than two decades. But, what caught the eye was the moment when David and Jennifer agreed that they had a massive crush on each other while filming the show. Along with the Friends fans, Varun Dhawan was also seen gushing over the ‘Ross and Rachel’ moment during the reunion. Varun did an ask anything session with his fans recently and he was asked by one of the fans if he watched the reunion. Varun said that the reunion was super emotional and he is a huge fan of the Friends series.

Replying to a fan Varun said, “I did watch it and it was super emotional. I have seen the series three times from 1-10 (season) back to back. Watching the whole Rachel and Ross thing was like, I think everyone wanted to hear that.”

Meanwhile, during the reunion, James Corden asked the cast if they had feelings for each other in real life back then, Schwimmer said, “The first season, we, I had a major crush on Jen. (Jennifer intervened, “It was reciprocated.”) At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary.”

Jennifer added, “Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.’ Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
