Celebrities helping Chennai flood victims

To Chennai facing its worst rains ever, a lot of celebrities have come forward to help people stranded in the flooded areas of the state. Chennai Express actor, Rana Daggubati is one of them. The bulky star has started a campaign to raise funds through his grandfather’s charitable trust ‘Ramanaidu Charitable Trust.’ His campaign has been titled ‘Mana Madras Kosam’ which means For our Madras. Through this, people can send in money to the specified trust and the money would be used to help people in Chennai. Rana also shared the account details of the same on Twitter.

After this,  a lot of Bollywood celebrities joined Rana in this noble cause, including our handsome hunk Varun Dhawan. Varun, who is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Dilwale’ was amongst the first one’s from Bollywood, to send prayers for all those people who are affected by floods. In an interview, Rana said, “Varun (Dhawan) and lots of my friends from Mumbai have been calling to ask how they can help. It’s impossible for people from Mumbai to send food etc and for sending money to the ATM’s in Chennai is impractical as they are not working.” Further, he said, “Varun sent me a message asking ‘Rana what can I do to help?” After this, Rana called him and gave him directions on how Varun can help the charitable trust in dealing with the floods.

Well, now we know why Varun Dhawan thanked Rana Daggubati!
