Varun Dhawan manifested JugJugg Jeeyo’s The Punjaabban Song in 2014, here’s proof

This year Varun Dhawan returned to the big screen after a gap of over two years with JugJugg Jeeyo, and his coming back was marked with some extravagant pomp and show. Amongst that, one that became a huge craze all over the nation was The Punjaabban Song from the film and its hook step. From the common man to all the A-listers, everyone attempted the viral hook step, and as it turns out, maybe Varun Dhawan manifested it all eight years ago itself.

Recently, a fan page of Varun on Instagram shared a picture of him and Alia Bhatt from during the promotions of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, in which the duo and two more people are seen posing with a hand gesture that seems awfully close to the hook step of The Punjaabban Song. Along with the picture, the page wrote, “VD promoting The Punjaabban Song in 2014 (sic)”. 

Resharing the picture on his Instagram stories, Varun wrote, “I knew it… My step… (sic)”, tagging his co-stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and choreographer Bosco Martis and director Raj Mehta. The innocence on Varun and Alia’s faces in the picture is just so heartwarming.

Varun and Alia recently celebrated 8 years of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania where the actor shared a picture of the duo with Sidharth Shukla from during the promotions. As for JugJugg Jeeyo, it has been close to one month since the film’s release and it is still running in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of over Rs 130 crores. Up next, Varun has Bhediya, Bawaal and Ekkis.
