Varun Dhawan takes a sly dig at trade experts: Nobody knows sh*t about box office trends

Actor Varun Dhawan is busy promoting his upcoming movie, JugJugg Jeeyo which is gearing up to release next Friday. However, as the release date is nearing, fans’ anticipation level to watch the film is also increasing. Apart from all this, in a recent interview, Varun Dhawan spoke about the box office trends and mentioned that no one knows anything about the business even the trade experts.

Talking about the same, JugJugg Jeeyo star Varun seemed to have a sly dig at the trade analysts and tells Pinkvilla, “I want to say this on camera that ‘Nobody knows sh*t’ about trends and what works and what doesn’t at the box office. Let’s be honest, I don’t think the trade knows anything. I don’t know that even the most successful producers know or directors, there’s nothing. Nobody knows anything.”

Even, Kiara Advani who is with Varun in the same interview agrees with him and says, “What are these trends? There are no trends. Nobody knows what’s working, no one knows. There’s no formula to this.” The Shershaah actor was recently seen opposite Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which grossed over Rs 175 crore at the box office.

Speaking about box office hits, this year, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, KGF 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have performed quite well. 

Nonetheless, JugJugg Jeeyo stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Kohli. Helmed by Raj Mehta, the film will hit the big screens on June 24.
